Dr. Farhan Ahmad is presently working as a Senior R&D Scientist in the Center for Applied Materials Science at Pall Corporation, NY. Dr. Ahmad studied Petrochemical Engg. at AMU, India and Materials Science and Engg. at GIST, South Korea. Dr. Ahmad obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University and did his post-doctoral work at the University of Washington, Seattle. During the academic career, he developed microfluidic-based gene analysis system for rapid diagnosis of waterborne pathogens and zero-cost point-of-care diagnostic platform for low-resource countries. He has published 20 peer-reviewed articles. His current work at Pall is to improve the understanding of biopharmaceutical filtration process by developing innovative characterization and detection solutions.
