Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology (ZHCET) is one of the oldest and prestigious engineering colleges in India. It is named after Zakir Husain, President of India (1967–69), who is an alumnus of AMU and was its Vice-Chancellor from 1948 to 1956. The foundation was laid on 21 November 1938. Located in Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), the college is affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Uttar Pradesh. Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The college conducts courses in various streams of engineering, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, which are conducted strictly as per the rules and regulations of AICTE.
